Yes. Tear-out and disposal includes removing the existing countertop material and hauling it away as part of the service.

Do my old countertops need to be removed before measurements for the new stone?

That can depend on the project and what is changing. Existing cabinetry, sinks, appliances and the planned replacement all need to be considered when determining the proper order for removal, measurements and fabrication.

Can you remove my old countertops and install the new stone?

Yes. Countertop removal can be part of a larger replacement project, with the new stone prepared for the space and professionally installed once the site and material are ready.

Countertop Removal & Disposal Harrisonburg VA, Tear-Out

Replacing an existing countertop starts with getting the old surface out of the way. We remove existing stone and other countertop materials so the space is ready for the next stage of the project. Removal is approached with the surrounding cabinetry, walls, sinks and nearby finishes in mind, especially in kitchens and bathrooms where several components meet around the surface.

Once the old material is removed, it is hauled away rather than being left for you to handle. This is also a good point to address changes to the layout or replace a surface that is badly cracked, dated or no longer working for the room. If you're still deciding what will take its place, explore our collections or visit our suppliers page to see more of the materials available for your project.
