What is a stone shower curb?

A shower curb is the raised threshold at the shower entrance. A fabricated stone piece can be used across its top to provide a continuous finished surface rather than several smaller tile pieces.

What is a stone wall cap used for?

Wall caps finish the top of pony walls, half walls and similar architectural features. They may be used in bathrooms and other areas where a finished stone surface is desired over the top of a wall.

Can a shower curb coordinate with the vanity top?

Yes. Depending on material availability and suitability, the curb can use the same or a complementary material to create a more connected bathroom design.

Stone Shower Curbs & Wall Caps Harrisonburg VA, Fabrication

Small stone components can have a significant effect on how finished tile and shower work comes together. Shower curbs provide a solid top surface at the entrance, while wall caps finish the upper edge of pony walls, partitions and similar features. These pieces are fabricated to fit the required dimensions, helping avoid the multiple grout joints that can result from using several smaller tiles across the same area.

Material can be selected to coordinate with the vanity, shower walls or other finishes without requiring an exact match. Quartz, marble and other appropriate options may provide the color or pattern needed for the design. For projects incorporating larger stone surfaces, our shower surrounds and bathroom vanity tops make it possible to coordinate several bathroom elements through related materials.
